AECOM is seeking a Technical Director with a strong Building Structures background to join our national Building Engineering team. This senior role combines technical leadership, design direction, and business development across major projects.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and drive successful delivery while growing our capabilities across ANZ. Hybrid work options and a focus on outcomes are central to this opportunity.

Qualifications

Civil/Structural Engineering degree with 20+ years in building services in Australia.
Chartered Engineer with relevant registrations.
Extensive building engineering experience, multidisciplinary project delivery.
Proven senior technical, project or leadership experience.
Strong budgeting, programme, contracts and financial insight.
Experience in client engagement, business development and winning work.
Proven team leadership and mentorship.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Established network in Australian building engineering market.

Responsibilities

Provide senior technical and design leadership across major Building Engineering projects.
Lead project teams and ensure successful delivery of a portfolio of projects.
Engage directly with clients to understand needs and build relationships.
Lead design management, technical reviews and multidisciplinary delivery.
Support business development and opportunities through client engagement and proposals.
Oversee project budgets, contracts and financial performance.
