Job summary

Altus Financial Pty invites a tax senior to join our growing private client advisory team in Sydney. You’ll work closely with the Head of Tax and client managers to deliver technical excellence, proactive insights, and a consistently exceptional client experience.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in public practice accounting tax with private client exposure, CA/CPA qualified (or near completion), and a collaborative, solutions‑focused mindset. Hybrid work and a modern Sydney office are offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in public practice accounting tax with exposure to private client tax advice.
• CA/CPA qualified (or near completion).
• Strong technical capability across compliance, tax and SME advisory.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Tax with tax advice to private clients.
• Provide proactive insights to support client decision‑making.
• Support managers and directors with complex advisory work, structuring, and planning.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive, high‑quality service.
• Contribute to process improvement, workflow optimisation, and team capability development.
