Job summary

Join a growing team as a Senior Tax Accountant in Sydney's Hills District. Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public practice or corporate tax.

• Fluent in Mandarin and English (essential).

Role Description

Our client a highly experienced and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing team. Based in the Hills District, this full-time, on-site role offers an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership position, managing both client portfolios and internal staff. You will be expected to work proactively, communicate clearly, and maintain excellence in service delivery-even under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of SME clients for all tax and accounting matters
• Prepare and review income tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
• Provide strategic tax planning and business advice in both Mandarin and English
• Handle complex tax issues including FBT, GST, CGT, Division 7A, and transfer pricing
• Supervise and review work of junior team members, and lead staff training
• Oversee the quality and efficiency of internal workflow and client deliverables
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, explaining complex tax issues in plain language
• Support leadership in refining internal systems and maintaining a strong team culture
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA or CA qualified (or near completion)
• 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public practice or corporate tax
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax law; international tax experience is a plus
• Experience with FBT, GST, CGT, Division 7A, and transfer pricing
• Fluent in Mandarin and English (essential)
• Proficient in Xero, MYOB, LodgeIt, and other cloud-based platforms
• Advanced Excel skills
