Job summary

Hanwha Defence Australia seeks a Deputy Systems Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate all systems engineering activities across HDA and subcontractors. You will be the primary engineering interface with the customer, ensuring processes, safety, and quality align with contractual obligations and ASDEFCON frameworks.

Role requires tertiary engineering qualifications and extensive Defence systems engineering experience, with travel to subcontractor/test locations possible.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
• Significant Systems Engineering experience in Defence programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist development, preparation and on-time delivery of all engineering artefacts.
• Ensure engineering activities meet schedules and budgets.
• Coach, mentor, and direct the project’s engineering staff.
• Oversee Systems Engineering Process and ensure compliance with plan.
• Oversee System Safety and promote safe engineering practices.
• Lead progress meetings and provide status reports on systems engineering activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure high-quality deliverables for the customer.
