Job summary

AECOM in Queensland is seeking an experienced Principal / Senior Systems Engineer – Requirements & Integration to lead complex, multi-venue infrastructure programs. You’ll provide technical leadership across systems engineering activities, ensuring requirements and interfaces are managed from concept to operational readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in Systems Engineering across complex infrastructure, transport, ICT, defence or major programs.
• Advanced experience administering IBM DOORS with governance, configuration, baselining and traceability.
• Strong lifecycle knowledge: requirements, interface management, verification and configuration management.
• Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 or similar standards.
• Excellent communication to influence stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach with mentoring and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements management and systems engineering activities across complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Administer and govern IBM DOORS, ensuring robust requirements management and traceability.
• Define and manage interfaces across infrastructure, technology and operational systems.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, technical reviews and integration forums with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain requirements frameworks, standards and governance processes.
• Drive verification and validation (V&V), configuration management and change control.
• Identify and manage integration risks, supporting assurance reviews and program readiness.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of systems engineering capability.
