Job summary

Paxus is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support a secure Commonwealth Government capability program in Canberra. The role focuses on requirements engineering, systems architecture, cloud and hybrid infrastructure design, and technical preparation for delivery.

You'll translate complex operational requirements into traceable technical specifications, develop FPS/SSDDs, and contribute across the system-of-systems program through technical reviews and integration planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in requirements analysis and system design.
• Ability to translate complex operational requirements into technical specs.
• Proven documentation of FPS, SSDD and design artefacts.
• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid environments and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Undertake system and subsystem requirements analysis, decomposition and traceability.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including FPS, SSDD, high-level and detailed designs.
• Support systems architecture development, interface definition and integration planning.
• Contribute to technical design activities across cloud and hybrid-hosted environments.
• Maintain alignment between operational requirements, system specifications and verification activities.
• Support technical procurement documentation, including Statements of Requirement and Statements of Work.
• Participate in technical reviews, architecture assessments and engineering assurance activities.
• Work with technical teams and stakeholders to resolve requirements, design and integration challenges.
