Job summary

Firmus Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and secure our IT infrastructure across regional offices in Australia. You will manage servers, endpoints, cloud services, and enterprise platforms, reporting to the CTO, with a focus on security and reliability.

The role requires hands-on experience with hybrid AD, endpoint management, and backup/recovery processes. You will also contribute to governance through detailed documentation and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a System Administrator/Senior System Administrator role.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience managing corporate IT infrastructure, including servers, endpoints, and virtualization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and secure Firmus’ IT infrastructure across regional offices.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Implement identity and endpoint management using Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Hybrid AD.
• Lead security/enforcement activities including Cortex XDR, MFA, and vulnerability management.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery using Veeam and perform restore tests.
• Oversee IT onboarding/offboarding, licensing, and asset management.
• Produce documentation, SOPs, and audit-ready evidence to support governance.
