Job summary

KBR Australia is seeking a Senior Specialist Engineer Systems ADSS to lead system modelling and digital engineering initiatives for defence programs. You will drive architectural frameworks, modelling guides and tool configurations, with Cameo as the primary tool, collaborating across disciplines to uplift enterprise maturity.

The role requires a BE/Engineering with 5+ years in systems engineering, SysML proficiency, and scripting in Python/JavaScript.

Qualifications

A Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification that meets the criteria of the Washington Accord.
Professional Engineer with 5y+ of experience in systems engineering preferably across the complete life cycle.
Demonstrated proficiency with the SysML language and the use of corresponding modelling tools, Cameo/No Magic preferred.
Familiarity and ideally good proficiency with architectural frameworks such as UAF, NAF, and DODAF.
Demonstrable experience of creation and refinement of a range of digital models and simulation.
Thorough understanding and application of configuration management in the context of system modelling and managing engineering change.
Excellent communication skills in presentation and demonstration to non-technical stakeholders.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work relatively independently whilst still engaging and communicating with key stakeholders.
Expertise in software engineering (programming) and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript to facilitate tools integration and support automation needs such as automatic document generation.
Eligibility for Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or higher).

Responsibilities

Providing guidance and support to other personnel in the enterprise in system modelling including architectural frameworks, languages, methods, and tools.
Developing artefacts that support the enterprise in improving maturity of system modelling including modelling guides, work instructions, and training material.
Delivering demonstrations and training on system modelling to foster adoption and build skills within the enterprise.
Remaining across the development of new technologies and methods applicable to system modelling.
Supporting the integration of system modelling as part of the system engineering life cycle.
Supporting the integration of system modelling tools with other system engineering tools and automating functionality that improves quality and productivity.
Engaging with stakeholders in respect to system modelling needs and formulating enterprise plans and capability roadmaps.
As required, supporting bod responses with material relating to system modelling (and digital engineering) capabilities and direction.
As required, presenting to external parties on our system modelling expertise for the purposes of education and supporting business winning.
Facilitating the integration of different disciplines into functional and physical modelling such as safety, security and integrated logistics support.
Supporting the development of the Australian Digital Engineering Environment.
