Newnham Karl Weir & Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Survey Draftsperson in Coffs Harbour, NSW. The role focuses on producing accurate WAE, cadastral and subdivision plans, and processing survey data with CAD tools, ensuring compliance with NSW standards.

You will work closely with registered surveyors and field teams, manage drafting priorities, and contribute to workflow improvements while delivering high-quality plans on schedule.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in survey drafting, preferably within NSW.
• Demonstrated experience preparing WAE plans, detail and contour surveys, and/or cadastral and subdivision plans.
• Strong understanding of survey data, coordinate systems, levels, contours and digital terrain models.
• Ability to interpret field survey information, calculations, design drawings, existing survey plans and title information.
• Experience with CAD and survey drafting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Works as Executed (WAE) plans: preparing accurate as-constructed documentation for civil infrastructure.
• Detail and contour surveys: producing detailed topographical plans, surface models, contours, sections and related deliverables.
• Cadastral and subdivision plans: preparing Deposited Plans (DPs) and subdivision/easement plans per NSW LRS requirements.
• Survey data processing: interpreting field observations and generating digital terrain models.
• Quality assurance: reviewing plans for accuracy and compliance.
• Project coordination: collaborating with surveyors to manage drafting priorities and deadlines.
• Workflow improvement: developing drafting templates and standards.
