Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Senior Support Systems Engineer - Land Capability to lead engineering outcomes on a major Land Capability program. You will establish engineering baselines, drive system integration, verification and configuration management across the program lifecycle.

In this role you will mentor engineers, collaborate with project leadership, customers and subcontractors, and guide the creation of an integrated, testable, and supportable system within a Systems Integration

Qualifications

• 8+ years in systems engineering, including military or software-intensive domains.
• Strong leadership and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Experience delivering systems engineering within an ASDEFCON environment.
• Experience with requirements management, architecture, design, and verification.
• Experience establishing engineering baselines and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain engineering baselines for the Land Capability program.
• Lead creation of the Systems Integration Laboratory and infrastructure readiness.
• Develop and manage system engineering artifacts and traceability.
• Lead elicitation and management of stakeholder requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across hardware/software integration, verification, validation.
• Support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and demonstrations.
• Manage configuration and engineering change activities.
• Mentor engineers and drive high-performance teamwork.
