Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd, a leading Caterpillar dealer, is looking for a Senior Supply Planning Analyst to join our Supply Chain & Logistics team in Brisbane. You will develop inventory strategies, improve forecast accuracy and partner with cross-functional teams to optimise stock availability and service performance.

Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, you will analyse complex data, identify risks, and drive corrective actions to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to analyse complex data and translate insights into actionable decisions.
• Experience working across multiple stakeholders and influencing outcomes.
• Knowledge of mining, construction equipment, industrial products, or similar operational environments.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Supply Planning SME across the business.
• Develop and maintain accurate inventory and supply plans to meet forecast demand.
• Analyse inventory coverage, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to optimise stock availability and service performance.
• Assess the impact of inventory decisions on stock turns, obsolescence, service levels, and overall commercial outcomes.
• Participate in maintenance planning discussions and provide inventory recommendations aligned to customer requirements.
• Monitor supply plan performance and proactively identify and manage supply risks.
• Conduct root cause analysis on supply issues, forecast accuracy, and order performance.
