Job summary

MCS Civil is seeking a Senior Supervisor to lead multi-front civil works on major energy, rail and infrastructure projects across regional NSW and beyond. You will provide strong site leadership, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, to program and to the required quality.

This role requires proven experience managing civil construction teams, reading drawings, and coordinating with Project Managers and Engineers.

• Proven experience as a Senior Supervisor or Civil Supervisor on major projects.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and project documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Senior Supervisor | Major Civil & Energy Projects

MCS Civil is a privately owned Australian civil contractor with a strong reputation for delivering specialist civil works across the energy, rail, transport and infrastructure sectors.

With a growing pipeline of major infrastructure projects across Regional NSW, Brisbane and South Australia, we are seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor to join our project teams. This is an opportunity to lead experienced construction teams on projects of state significance and play a key role in delivering essential infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Senior Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating multiple work fronts and ensuring construction activities are planned and executed effectively. You will provide strong site leadership, manage resources and crews, and work closely with the project team to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, to program and to the required quality standards.

You will be a key link between site operations and project management, identifying issues early, coordinating solutions and keeping works moving in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily site construction activities

Supervise construction crews, subcontractors, plant and resources

Coordinate works in accordance with project programs and schedules

Monitor productivity, progress and construction quality

Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and site coordination meetings

Interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation

Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and Engineers

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives

Identify and resolve construction issues as they arise

Maintain strong standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance

Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project requirements

Maintain accurate site records, reporting and documentation

Support effective planning and coordination across project work fronts

About You

We are looking for an experienced Senior Supervisor who can lead from the front and bring strong practical knowledge of civil construction and major project delivery.

Demonstrated experience as a Senior Supervisor, Civil Supervisor or similar

Strong experience leading civil construction teams

Experience across energy, transmission, utilities or major infrastructure projects highly regarded

Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and site operations

Proven ability to manage subcontractors, crews, plant and resources

Strong understanding of project programs, quality and safety requirements

High level of communication and leadership skills

Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or relevant trade qualification highly regarded

Current White Card

Relevant project-specific tickets and competencies

Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening

Willingness to work DIDO | FIFO rosters across regional project locations
