Job summary

The Boeing Company in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to join the E-7 program, delivering on complex procurement and contract management tasks.

You will lead sourcing strategies, manage contracts, engage stakeholders, and help ensure on-time performance and governance compliance across the defence and aviation portfolio. Applicants should have 5–8 years in contracts management and a relevant bachelor’s degree, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Five (5) to eight (8) years or more work experience in contracts management with prior experience in an engineering or project delivery organization being highly desirable
• Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, commerce or business
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Good working knowledge of contracting responsibilities and their interdependencies with other project activities
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and build relationships with stakeholders

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Senior Subcontracts Specialist to join our E-7 business division to support the E-7 program.

Responsibilities:

In supporting the position, the successful candidate will be required to:

• Lead supply chain execution within the program and sit on the delivery-level leadership team;
• Develop sourcing strategies and approaches to market for defence and aviation type goods and services;

Experience/Qualifications

The right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies:

• Five (5) to eight (8) years or more work experience in contracts management with prior experience in an engineering or project delivery organization being highly desirable;
• Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, commerce or business;
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
• Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed in contracting and their interdependencies with other project activities (for example, engineering, logistics, finance); and
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
