Hallam Secondary College in Melbourne’s southeast is seeking a Leading Teacher - Senior Subschool to provide strategic leadership for Years 11 and 12, guiding academic achievement, engagement, wellbeing and post-school pathways.

The role involves collaborating with the Principal, Curriculum Leaders and wellbeing teams, leading evidence-informed practices, and contributing to the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan. A strong leadership track record is essential.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of the Victorian curriculum and ability to lead literacy and numeracy priorities.
• Ability to plan and implement high impact teaching strategies responsive to student learning needs.
• Ability to monitor and assess learning, using data to drive school improvement.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to collaborate with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
• Ability to model Department values and contribute to whole-school professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate whole-school improvement initiatives aligned with the School Strategic Plan.
• Coordinate curriculum development and delivery across senior and other learning areas.
• Oversee staff performance, professional development and coaching.
• Lead strategies to improve Year 11-12 outcomes and student engagement.
• Manage compliance and contribute to school policy development.
