Job summary

Robert Bird Group in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Construction Engineering team. You will provide specialist staged analysis, construction methodology and temporary works design services across major projects in Queensland.

Responsibilities include detailed temporary works design, client liaison with Project Directors, resource management, and delivering high-quality, innovative engineering solutions with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' structural engineering experience.
• Temporary works design experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Australian codes and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience delivering detailed engineering drawings.
• Solid grounding in steel and concrete design.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Experience with structural software.
• Project management and hands-on experience.
• Ability to prepare technical reports to a high standard.
• Able to work on own initiative and in a team.
• Full working rights.

Responsibilities

• Detailed structural design of temporary works and impacts on permanent works.
• Client liaison with Project Directors and Associates regarding current and future projects.
• Active involvement in projects, including resource management, with Project Directors.
• Deliver current and future projects while upholding RBG's reputation for innovation, technical excellence, quality, and delivery.
• Collaborate with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of deliverables.
