Job summary

Structerre Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with local QLD residential experience to join our Residential Design Section in Eagle Farm. The role focuses on design, documentation and detailing for single and multi-storey homes, and custom-built residences.

A day in the life includes managing client relationships, delivering cost-effective designs, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Civil/Structural Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia.
• 5+ years of experience in Australian residential market.
• Strong client focus with practical, sustainable engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with single & multi-storey residential buildings, subfloor, footing, timber/steel framing, retaining walls, suspended concrete floors, site inspections.
• High initiative and proactive problem solving; mentoring/coaching abilities.
• Valid Construction White Card; valid driver's license (helpful).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients and interpret design requirements.
• Provide cost-effective designs within designated timeframes.
• Ensure designs meet Australian Standards and company procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to staff and external clients.
• Lead and mentor other engineers in the team.
• Interpret architectural drawings for structural design considerations.
