Job summary

Mayfield Industries is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our engineering team at our modern facility in Adelaide, SA. You will design steel-framed switchrooms and related structures, deliver compliant calculations, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and 5+ years' experience in steel structures, with Space Gass proficiency and solid knowledge of AS/NZS 1170 and AS/NZS 4100.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in the design and analysis of steel structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software Space Gass.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, AS/NZS 1170 and AS/NZS 4100.
• Experience preparing and reviewing structural calculations and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design steel-framed switchrooms, skids, platforms and other structural systems.
• Prepare calculations, reports, specifications and design sketches.
• Review drawings for compliance, accuracy and manufacturability.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Manufacturing and Project teams.
• Ensure designs meet Australian Standards and project quality requirements.
• Mentor engineers and designers and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
