Job summary

Jacobs Brisbane is seeking a Senior Associate Structural Engineer to lead the delivery of complex structural projects across buildings and facilities. You will mentor engineers, manage client relationships, and drive project delivery from concept through to completion.

You will shape structural solutions, oversee design reviews, and contribute to business development while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic, hybrid working environment across Australia and the region.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Significant experience delivering structural engineering solutions within buildings/infrastructure.
• Demonstrated capability in structural design, project delivery and technical leadership.
• Strong understanding of commercial project drivers, including planning, budgeting and risk management.
• Proven experience developing and managing strategic client relationships in a consulting environment.
• Demonstrated success contributing to business development, work-winning and proposals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of structural engineering design, assessment, rehabilitation and consultancy services for building projects.
• Provide technical leadership including design reviews and guidance to project teams.
• Manage delivery to meet safety, time, budget and quality targets.
• Act as trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships and shaping solutions.
• Lead business development, identify growth opportunities and support pursuits.
• Contribute to major proposals, bids and tender submissions.
