Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane Buildings team. You will lead structural design across the full lifecycle, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with health, education, and commercial projects.

The role requires Chartered status or progress toward it, strong client relationships, and a solid consultancy background with knowledge of the Building Code of Australia. Flexible working arrangements are available in a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Chartered status (MIEAust / CPEng) or working towards it.
• Solid post-graduate experience in building structures (consultancy background preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.
• Collaborative mindset with ownership of projects and knowledge of Building Code of Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to structural engineering design across full project lifecycle.
• Work on boutique to large, complex developments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across health, education, sport/leisure, multi-residential, retail and commercial sectors.
• Mentor and support junior engineers as a senior technical resource.
• Engage directly with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver outstanding outcomes.
• Contribute to development of the Structural team and uphold brand culture.
