Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–7 years’ experience in structural engineering.
• Practical experience with steel and concrete structural design.
• Experience with Space Gass, RAPT, ETABS or similar.
• Strong understanding of Australian structural design practices and standards.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural concepts and detailed designs for a range of building and infrastructure projects.
• Complete structural calculations, assessments and technical design work for steel and concrete structures.
• Prepare and review engineering documentation, including drawings, reports and specifications.
• Apply Australian Standards and engineering principles throughout the design process.
• Use structural analysis/design software to assess and develop structural solutions.
• Work closely with internal engineering and drafting teams to coordinate design deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders as required.
• Provide engineering support throughout construction and assist with resolving technical issues that arise on site.
• Contribute to design reviews, project meetings and technical discussions.
• Manage allocated tasks and projects while maintaining quality, accuracy and agreed project deadlines.
• Take ownership of your work and contribute ideas to improve project outcomes and delivery.
