Job summary

Titan Recruitment has partnered with a leading structural engineering consultancy in Perth to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer. You will own project delivery, coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders, and drive successful outcomes on complex building developments.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in structural engineering for buildings, strong client and consultant liaison skills, and a practical, solutions-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Ideally 5+ years of structural engineering experience, primarily within the building sector.
• Ideally structural engineering experience across buildings projects combined with project delivery experience.
• Proven experience liaising directly with clients, builders, architects, and multidisciplinary consultants.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver structural design packages for residential, commercial, and multi-storey building developments.
• Experience supporting projects through the construction phase, including responding to RFIs, conducting site inspections, and resolving construction-related issues.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, take ownership of project deliverables, and work autonomously when required.
• A practical, solutions-oriented approach to structural engineering and construction challenges.
• Sound knowledge of post-tensioned concrete, reinforced concrete, and steel-framed building structures.

Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Lead the day-to-day delivery of structural engineering projects, ensuring design documentation, stakeholder coordination, and construction support are completed effectively and in line with project schedules.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, builders, project managers, architects, and other key project stakeholders.
• Design Coordination: Collaborate closely with architects, services engineers, and multidisciplinary consultants to manage design interfaces, resolve coordination challenges, and meet project requirements.
• Construction Support: Provide timely responses to RFIs, site queries, design clarifications, and construction-related issues, delivering practical and commercially focused solutions.
• Site Engagement: Attend site inspections, coordination meetings, and project workshops, working directly with construction teams to address and resolve engineering issues.
• Project Planning & Delivery: Monitor project progress, manage competing priorities, and coordinate engineering and drafting resources to ensure deliverables are achieved on time.
• Technical Collaboration: Work alongside senior engineers and technical specialists to develop practical, coordinated, and technically robust engineering solutions.
• Commercial Awareness: Maintain an understanding of project scope, deliverables, variations, and commercial objectives to support efficient and successful project delivery.
