Job summary

Ausenco is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane office to support growth and complex projects. You will lead and coordinate a project team, ensure deliverables meet standards, and manage budgets.

Your role includes client engagement and technical leadership for steel structures and concrete foundations in industrial and mining contexts. You will mentor engineers, apply engineering codes, and drive best practices across the structural engineering team while working closely with

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in engineering consulting or large organisations.
• Chartered Engineer accreditation or ability to obtain.
• Strong brownfield design experience for industrial/mining projects.
• Proven client-facing project management and leadership.
• Experience in the design of steel structures and concrete foundations.
• Knowledge of ISO/AS/ANSI/API design codes.
• Ability to mentor structural engineers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project design teams to meet time and budget.
• Ensure deliverables meet standards and client requirements.
• Prepare specifications, design criteria, and material take-offs.
• Develop proposals and monitor project budgets.
• Maintain communication with PM/Engineering Manager on progress.
• Contribute to development of the structural team.
• Engage with clients to identify needs and provide solutions.
