Job summary

ICON Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead diverse offshore and onshore projects for major oil and gas clients. You will drive brownfield and greenfield designs, supervise a small team, and deliver safe, constructible solutions from concept through to installation.

The role requires offshore facilities experience, knowledge of DNV/API/ISO/AISC codes, and proficiency with SPACE GASS; occasional offshore travel is anticipated.

About The Opportunity

As a Senior Structural Engineer for ICON, you will be challenged by a diverse range of projects for major national and international oil and gas clients. You will be presented with a mix of brownfield and greenfield projects in the areas of offshore and onshore infrastructure, floating/fixed platform design and modifications, specialised equipment design and field developments.

Working autonomously, overseeing a small team on larger projects or as the sole engineer on a smaller project, you will be required to solve complex problems with innovative design solutions including overseeing the fabrication, construction, and installation of your solutions.

About You

• Eng in a relevant discipline.
• Structural Engineering project experience from conceptual design through to installation.
• Experience in detailed structural design on brownfield oil and gas projects, including producing calculations and reports, is ideal, but we are open to other related industry experience.
• Proven offshore site and practical experience across oil and gas facilities, with the ability to translate structural designs into safe, constructible solutions ideal.
• Being well versed with current offshore codes and specifications, including DNV, API, ISO, AISC , is preferred, but we can work with you to bring you up to speed.
• Proficient with SPACE GASS or equivalent structural engineering software.
• Working knowledge of SACS, Strand 7 or equivalent software is also desirable.
• Flexibility to travel offshore for short durations is highly desirable.
