Outsourced is seeking a Senior Structural Draftsperson for a homebased role in Australia. You will use Revit and AutoCAD to produce detailed structural drawings for RC, steel, timber and masonry projects, supporting the Melbourne team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a consulting environment, strong documentation skills, proactive teamwork, and the ability to liaise with designers and stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in structural drafting/consulting.
• Knowledge of Reinforced Concrete, Steel, Timber and Masonry.
• Proactive team player able to identify issues and liaise with designers.
• Strong documentation and drawing standards experience.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and clients.

Responsabilités

• Create structural drawings in REVIT and AutoCAD for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Coordinate with the Vantage team and stakeholders to promote standards.
• Review drawings for accuracy and consistency with specs.
• Liaise with designers, surveyors, architects and sub-consultants as required.
• Prepare detailed drawings in coordination with the Designer and Senior Draftsperson; file and transmittals.
• Manage project schedules and deliverables, ensuring timely approvals.

Qualifications & Experience

• The candidate would have a minimum of 5 years industry experience working in a consulting environment.
• Have strong skills and understanding of the documentation procedures to produce documentation of a high standard.
• Knowledgeable in Reinforced Concrete, Timber, Steel, Masonry and other related materials.
• Be proactive and take the initiative and a team player that actively assists the designer in identifying anomalies, Setout discrepancies and have a good understanding of framing etc.
• Ambitious, energetic, a good communicator and able to deliver articulated direct messages clearly while liaising with the stakeholders of the business to achieve a successful outcome for the business.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Structural and Civil drafting in REVIT and AutoCAD for multi-disciplinary projects ranging in size from $500K-$20 million.
• Co-ordinating projects with the Vantage team and working collaboratively with all stakeholders and employees of the firm to promote teamwork and documentation standards that are commensurate with current industry practices and standards.
• Sound skills and a knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD including the interfacing with other Software programs on the market.
• Exceptional time management skills and working to set project schedules.
• The ability to work autonomously, professional and a broad understanding of construction practices.
• The Draftsperson shall review all conditions and correspondence in the current file.
• The Draftsperson shall check information supplied by the client, surveyor, architect or other sub-consultant to identify details that may affect the final design.
• The Draftsperson shall liaise with all associated consultants, persons, council and government bodies as required to obtain information for the purposes of completing a project associated with digital documentation information.
• Liaise with the designer in the clarification of briefing sketches and data.
• Preparation of detailed drawings in coordination with the Designer and Senior Draftsperson as necessary. Senior Review of Draftsperson. check prints related to all instructions in sketch or written form received from the Designer or Liaise as necessary with associated authorities or consultants as directed by the responsible Project Manager.
• Ensure completed that in client accordance and other with consultant Company Policy supplied plans are filed correctly and Document Transmittals.
• Responsible for all transfer of drawings including transmittals and logging in drawings in accordance with our quality control systems.

Work Schedule (Dayshift)

• Monday to Friday (7AM-4PM; Manila Time)

Work Setup (WFH)

• Permanent Homebased
• Candidate's are expected to have a conducive (quiet, distraction-free) dedicated workspace
• Equipment will be provided by the company
• Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed.
