Job summary

SCP Consulting Pty Ltd in Brisbane, Australia, seeks a Senior Structural Digital Designer to support the structural group, deliver projects, and provide technical advice. You will lead projects and liaise with consultants.

The role requires deep Revit proficiency, BIM experience, and a track record of high-rise or industrial projects; mentoring and drafting standards contributions are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of local experience in structural drafting.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows.
• Experience on commercial, high-rise or industrial projects.
• Qualifications in structural drafting or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and Dynamo/Revizto is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Translate information into polished detailed drawings.
• Produce models at the required LOD, minimum LOD 300.
• Ensure drawing quality as Lead Draftsperson.
• Collaborate with other drafters and consultants.
• Participate in coordination meetings.
• Manage drawing revisions, reviews and QA processes.
• Contribute to drafting standards and workflow improvements.
• Provide leadership through mentoring and supporting the team.

Your Role

As a Senior Structural Digital Designer, you'll support the structural group in delivering projects and have the experience and confidence to provide technical advice. You will also run projects and liaise directly with consultants.

You’ll:

• Translate information from Engineers, clients, and other experts into polished detailed drawings.
• Produce models to the required LOD for each project. LOD 300 minimum standard where nothing is specified.
• Assure the quality of drawings as the Lead Draftsperson on a project.
• Listen and collaborate with other drafters on projects where you are support.
• Participate in coordination meetings
• Managing drawing revisions, technical reviews and quality assurance processes.
• Contributing to drafting standards, workflow improvements and continuous improvements.
• Leadership through mentoring and supporting drafters and designers within the team.

What You'll Bring

• A minimum of 8 years of local experience in structural drafting
• Ability to work autonomously as a Structural Drafter/Modeller.
• Proficiency in the use of Revit.
• Experience in commercial, high rises or industrial projects.
• Qualifications in structural drafting, civil construction design or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience conforming to BIM requirements, using Dynamo and working on Revizto and Autodesk Forma will be highly regarded.
• The ability to be a team player and happy to support the team in delivering projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively in the ongoing maintenance and development of standards.
