Job summary

Ausenco is seeking a Senior Structural Designer for our Brisbane office to work on challenging projects and deliver high-quality structural/concrete design drafting. The role offers flexible engagement arrangements including fixed-term contracts, casual positions, or independent contractor setups.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of structural and concrete drafting experience, with expertise in plant layout and materials handling.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years' experience in Structural, Concrete design drafting.
• Experience with structural/ concrete plant layout and materials handling is highly regarded.
• Advanced diploma in Engineering or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide Structural/Concrete knowledge to the project team and deliver drafting outputs.
• Prepare design and detail drawings aligned with project timeframes and standards.
• Coordinate with project members and review deliverables across the team.
• Maintain consistent drafting standards and propose practical, economical solutions.
• Interpret ideas from lead designers and engineers for implementation.

We are looking for a Senior Structural Designer to join our Brisbane office, where you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and make a meaningful impact. We offer flexibility in engagement arrangements, with this opportunity available as a fixed-term contract, casual position, or independent contractor arrangement.

About the role

• Provide Structural/Concrete knowledge to the project team while working on deliverables
• Deliver design drafting according to required project timeframes and standards by coordinating with project members, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements
• Responsibility will vary according to project requirements. May work independently, as a member of a team or as a team leader.
• Interpret and put into design the ideas of lead designers and engineers
• Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects and devise practical and economical solutions to problems as they arise.

About you

• A minimum of 7 years' experience in,Structural, Concrete design drafting
• Proven experience in Structural, Concrete design plant layout with crushing, grinding, materials handling, flotation, CIL/CIP, slurry, pumping, slurry agitation, particle size classification and separation would be highly regarded
• Advance diploma or equivalent in Engineering is desirable.
• Proven experience withSmart Plant3D is highly desirable
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills
