Job description

Eolas Solutions is seeking Senior Strategic Writers to support major Commonwealth capability programs commencing in November 2025. Remuneration is $200,000–$240,000 per annum (including super), reflecting the seniority and experience required. Applications will remain open for 48 hours, with interviews to be conducted as soon as possible.

These positions require senior professionals who can develop strategies, concepts, and Cabinet submissions that inform government decision-making. The work involves translating complex operational, policy, and technical information into clear, strategic narratives that enable action.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will:

• Frame and articulate strategic logic for new initiatives and capability investments.
• Develop and structure high-consequence submissions and briefs for senior decision-makers.
• Integrate complex technical and operational information into coherent, actionable products.
• Collaborate with senior officials to align documents with policy intent and budget strategy.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience developing Cabinet submissions, strategic papers and/or capability concepts within government.
• Strong understanding of policy and capability development processes across Defence, national security, or central agencies.
• Current NV1 security clearance (minimum).
• The ability to think strategically, synthesise information, and write with clarity in complex environments.
