St John of God Health Care is seeking two experienced Human Resources Officers to join our Workforce Shared Services team on a permanent full-time basis. You will deliver transactional and advisory HR services to line Managers and caregivers across the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with EBAs, awards and legislation.

You will manage an allocated portfolio with high-volume activities, maintain HR records (Workday), and provide accurate, practical guidance on policies and entitlements

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar HR role, ideally within a shared services or high-volume transactional environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience using the Workday HRIS is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Assess and process changes to caregiver positions and conditions, parental leave, resignations, reporting relationships, costing and structural changes with data updated in Workday.
• Ensure payroll documentation is completed and provided to payroll per schedules.
• Interpret and apply EBAs, Awards and employment legislation; provide practical advice on policies, entitlements, and terms.
• Maintain HR records and compliance documentation in a high-volume transactional environment with accuracy and efficiency.

The SJGHC Workforce Shared Services (WSS) team delivers support services to employees (caregivers) across our hospitals, services, and group locations in Western Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales.

Workforce Shared Services (WSS) covers a broad range of functions, including recruitment, onboarding, global mobility, HR administration and support, position management, remuneration, benefits, payroll, payroll systems, and organisation-wide workforce risk management, governance, and compliance. Guided by SJGHC’s strategic direction — Every Moment Matters — our core focus is to enhance the caregiver (employee) experience while establishing consistent, strong foundations across all areas of the workforce.

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for two experienced Human Resources Officers to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

In this role, you will provide a comprehensive transactional and advisory service to line Managers and caregivers to support them throughout their employment lifecycle, on all aspects of Human Resource services.

Managing an allocated portfolio, you will deliver responsive, customer-focused HR services while ensuring compliance with legislation, organisational policies, and best-practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and process a variety of changes to existing caregiver positions/conditions, parental leave, resignation, reporting relationships, costing and structural changes, ensuring that data is updated in the Human Resources Information System (Workday) in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all relevant payroll documentation is completed and provided to payroll in accordance with agreed schedules.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience interpreting and applying Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs), Awards and employment legislation, along with a proven ability to provide accurate and practical advice on HR policies, procedures, employee entitlements, and employment terms and conditions.
• Proven experience working in a high-volume transactional HR environment, maintaining HR systems, employee records, and compliance documentation with accuracy and efficiency.

Your skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in a similar HR position, ideally within a shared services or high-volume transactional environment. You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

You will bring a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience using the Workday Human Resources Information System will be highly regarded.

• Salary: $81,827 to $90,256 per annum plus 12% superannuation
• Permanent full-time position
• Located at Kings Square Perth CBD Office with 40% work from home option
