Job summary

Public Sector People – Australian Capital Territory is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to own and evolve our central storage environment. You will manage on-premises and cloud storage strategies, drive resilience, and advise senior IT leadership on architecture and risk.

You will lead storage projects, coordinate with vendors, and ensure steady operation of SAN/NAS, backup and DR across platforms such as Dell EMC, NetApp and others. Canberra-based with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing large-scale enterprise storage environments.
• Experience with SAN, NAS, backup and DR.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure) is preferred.
• Ability to provide architectural guidance and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve enterprise storage infrastructure.
• Design storage architecture and future-state solutions.
• Support backup, recovery, replication and DR.
• Monitor performance and lifecycle of infrastructure.
• Engage with vendors and support procurement.
• Provide senior technical advice to IT leadership.
