Job summary

Dolby in Sydney seeks a Senior Staff Engineer to lead audio/video signal processing and ML initiatives across embedded platforms. You’ll design licensable technologies and guide prototypes through to production, partnering with customers and teams worldwide.

You will apply solid DSP fundamentals, deploy ML models on edge devices, and mentor engineers while shaping the technical direction of next-generation entertainment experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years in DSP, embedded systems, and real-time software.
• Deep DSP knowledge: filtering, transforms, beamforming, noise reduction.
• Experience deploying ML models on edge devices and using AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Invent and prototype new audio and video experiences.
• Apply DSP and ML to real-world challenges.
• Take concepts from research to deployment on consumer devices.
• Develop high-performance C/C++ software for embedded platforms.
