Job summary

Dolby invites a Senior Staff Engineer in Sydney to lead the development of next-generation audio and video signal processing and ML on edge devices. You will design licensable technologies across research, prototyping, software implementation and testing for consumer devices.

You will build high-performance C/C++ software for embedded platforms, lead architecture reviews, and drive complex engineering projects while mentoring engineers and representing Dolby with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years' experience in DSP, embedded systems, and real-time software development.
• Deep expertise in DSP fundamentals including filtering, transforms, beamforming, noise reduction, and non-linear processing.
• Hands-on experience deploying machine learning models on edge devices.
• Strong C/C++ development skills and understanding of processor architectures.
• Proven track record leading complex technical projects and delivering production-ready solutions.
• Experience leveraging generative AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
