Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to help ensure the reliability of TikTok's video system in a high‑volume, globally distributed environment. The role focuses on lifecycle management, incident response, capacity planning, and automation to optimize performance and cost.

Onsite in Australia, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain service level agreements and support large events with resilient infrastructure and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Java, Python, C#, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reliability of TikTok's video system including publishing and distribution.
• Manage production lifecycle: deployments, changes, and incident response.
• Monitor, respond to incidents to meet SLA and review production outages.
• Perform capacity planning for compute, storage and network.
• Build automations, tools and dashboards for global infrastructure.
