Job summary

Data Migration Consultants Pty Ltd (DataMC) is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our Brisbane and Sunshine Coast teams. You will design and deliver robust data migration and transformation solutions, mentor developers, and contribute to technical best practices across the organisation.

You will hold a tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering, or related discipline, with 5+ years of professional software development experience.

Qualifications

• Data migration methodologies, staging, transformation, reconciliation, validation and cutover processes.
• Advanced SQL Server development, performance tuning and database design.
• ETL design, development and loading using SQL Server and related technologies.
• Experience delivering complex ETL and data migration projects at scale.
• Strong data quality, profiling, cleansing and exception management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technical deliverables and mentor other developers.
• Design, develop, test and optimise SQL Server solutions per DataMC standards.
• Lead the design and implementation of ETL processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate migration activities and improve efficiency.
• Perform data profiling, validation and risk assessment for migrations.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide project teams.
• Participate in data mapping and solution design workshops with clients.
• Review peers' work and enforce quality standards.
• Mentor junior developers and build technical capability.
• Learn and apply DataMC frameworks and delivery approaches.
• Support all stages of the data migration lifecycle from init to go-live.
