Job summary

The Missing Link is recruiting a Senior Security Operations Engineer to support a major Australian financial services organisation. This hands-on security role focuses on SOC operations, Splunk detection engineering, and broader security engineering across SaaS and cloud environments.

You will drive security monitoring, threat detection and remediation initiatives, ensuring effective integration with existing SOC processes while working in a hybrid Melbourne setup.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Security Operations / SOC experience.
• Hands-on Splunk detection engineering experience.
• Strong security engineering capability.
• SaaS engineering knowledge.
• Experience across security monitoring, detection and response.
• Understanding of vulnerability management and remediation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Splunk detection engineering and security monitoring.
• Support Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) initiatives.
• Support Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) initiatives.
• Develop and improve vulnerability management and remediation processes.
• Develop and refine vulnerability remediation escalation processes.
• Ensure security initiatives are operationally practical.
• Support integration with SOC monitoring, detection and response processes.
