Job summary

Autism Association (Singapore) is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist / Senior Speech and Language Therapist to support students on the autism spectrum with intellectual disabilities within a school-based setting. The role emphasizes assessment, intervention, and coaching to staff.

The candidate will plan and deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions, implement AAC strategies, and lead professional development for educators, working with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered with AHP in Singapore as Full Registrant.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in speech-language pathology.
• Desire to learn about autism and dedication to serving autistic individuals and their families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language assessments for complex cases and plan interventions.
• Assess and monitor students' communication levels to inform intervention planning.
• Plan and deliver 1:1 or small-group intervention sessions.
• Lead school-wide initiatives on AAC supports with the development team.
• Refer to external speech-language therapy services when needed beyond classroom scope.
• Research resources and methods to tailor approaches for students' goals.
• Coach educators on communication screening and AAC use.
• Plan induction and provide supervision/training for SLTs.
• Contribute to program development and policy/procedure improvement.
