Job summary

Mount Macedon Winery is seeking an experienced Sous Chef / Senior CDP to join our kitchen leadership team. This hands-on leadership role oversees on-site operations across our Cellar Door and UUMM venues, weddings, and events, coordinating with the Head Chef to drive quality and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates bring proven Sous Chef or senior kitchen leadership experience, a Commercial Cookery Cert III or higher, and the ability to lead across multiple venues while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Proven Sous Chef or Senior Kitchen Leadership experience.
• Strong culinary and leadership skills.
• Experience across multi-purpose venues or multiple outlets.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead one of two kitchens during service and coordinate with Head Chef.
• Oversee food quality, presentation and consistency across outlets.
• Support menu development and documentation management.
• Plan rostering and prep for kitchen operations across restaurant, weddings and events.
• Mentor and develop kitchen staff.
• Assist with ordering, stock control, and waste reduction.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Collaborate with front-of-house and venue leadership.
