What do you do?
  • Lead day-to-day kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef to effectively manage the kitchen operations.
  • Train on the job and grow into your future Head Chef role.
  • Mentor and inspire the team to maintain high standards of consistency, quality and culture.
  • Delegate effectively, implement structures and streamline kitchen systems.
  • Manage ordering, stocktake and deliveries to ensure smooth kitchen operations and minimise waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain a clean and organised kitchen.
  • Stay on trend with food and collaborate with the Head Chef in bringing creative ideas and new menu concepts to life.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging kitchen environment where staff enjoy coming to work.
What do you need?
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume gastro-pub environment.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage tasks under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach with a focus on quality, consistency and efficiency.
