Job summary

Vinova is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to work with major hyperscale data centre customers across Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra. You will act as the engineering SME between customers, sales and delivery teams, shaping solutions that balance performance, cost, schedule and viability.

You will collaborate across electrical, mechanical, controls and civil disciplines, lead workshops and technical reviews, and translate customer requirements into clear briefs for internal design teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in data centre or critical infrastructure engineering.
• Background in electrical, mechanical, controls or civil engineering.
• Able to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance

Rather than sit purely within design or project delivery, you'll work directly with major hyperscale customers to understand their requirements and shape the engineering solutions used across large-scale data centre environments.

You'll broaden your exposure across electrical, mechanical, controls and civil disciplines while developing valuable experience across technical solutions, pre-sales and customer engagement.

You'll also join a rapidly growing critical infrastructure business where you'll have visibility across major customer opportunities from initial technical discussions through to design and delivery.

About the role

Vinova are working with a leading data centre and critical infrastructure business to appoint a Senior Solutions Engineer across Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra.

Sitting within the technical solutions function, you'll act as an engineering SME between customers, sales and engineering delivery teams.

You'll take customer requirements and work with internal design teams to develop solutions that balance technical performance, cost, programme and commercial viability.

You'll also lead technical discussions, workshops and solution reviews with major customers, helping ensure what is proposed commercially can be successfully designed and delivered.

Duties

• Support proposals and bids with technical advice, schematics and solution development

Skills & experience

• Data centre, critical infrastructure or mission-critical engineering experience
• Electrical, mechanical, controls or civil engineering background
• Strong understanding of data centre engineering principles and design architecture
• Customer-facing solutions, pre-sales, post-sales or technical bid experience
• Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance
