Job summary

Synergy Group is seeking a Solution Architect (Manager level) based in Canberra to design end-to-end architectures for government and enterprise engagements. You will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, addressing business, technical and security requirements, and shaping architectural approaches across multiple client streams.

You will translate needs into clear architecture options, produce high-quality artefacts, and ensure alignment with standards and security frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering solution architecture on client engagements with limited supervision.
• Platform-agnostic architecture fundamentals across applications, integration, data, infrastructure and cloud.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or similar frameworks and well-architected security considerations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with clients and teams.
• Consulting mindset: commercially aware, adaptable, client-focused, with ability to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design solution architectures that meet client business, technical and security requirements with autonomy across work streams.
• Translate business needs into clear architecture specifications, options, trade-offs and recommendations.
• Produce architecture artefacts ready for senior review and client stakeholders.
• Ensure designs align with client enterprise architecture, standards, and security requirements.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, vendors and specialists to keep designs practical and implementable.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior consultants and contribute to reusable assets.
