Job summary

HII's Mission Technologies division in Maryland seeks a dynamic Senior Software Test Engineer to join the Minotaur Mission Processor team. You will advance testing across sensor data and mission displays, supporting airborne surveillance systems for multiple branches.

You will mentor junior engineers, design manual and automated tests, review requirements, and help integrate software with aircraft systems. Willingness to travel 10–20% and the ability to obtain a US security clearance are

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s in related field, 3 years with Master’s in related field, or high school diploma with 9 years relevant experience.
• 2-4 years experience software testing/development in a Linux command line environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a close team environment
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US level Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Devise and apply testing procedures for Minotaur product and from outside vendors
• Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
• Test creation, development, execution, and closure
• Analyze test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
• Perform moderately complex analysis and troubleshooting
• Design of both manual and automated test procedures
• Prepare reports on all aspects related to software testing carried out and reporting to the design team
• Support system integration events on various aircraft during ground/flight tests
• Potential to fly on aircraft to support system integration, test, and operator training
• Willing to travel between 10-20% of the time
