Job summary

Copeland LP is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Analytics Feature Team. You will scale a Python-based analytics engine that processes large building datasets, bridging complex physics with high-performance software.

You’ll collaborate with data scientists, promote engineering best practices, and own end-to-end deployment in a Kubernetes/Docker environment, while exploring AI integrations to automate insights and ticket descriptions.

Qualifications

• Strong Python experience with data-heavy libraries (Pandas/NumPy).
• Experience building scalable, production-grade software systems.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services.
• Comfortable collaborating with data scientists and domain experts.

Responsibilities

• Scale the Analytics Engine: work on the Python-based engine processing building data streams.
• Champion software engineering best practices, observability, testing, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with data scientists and domain experts to improve engineering culture.
• Own end-to-end deployment and runtime understanding in a Kubernetes/Docker environment.
• Explore AI integrations to automate insights and descriptions.
