Job summary

Pathify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Australian engineering team. You’ll work across frontend and backend stacks using Python/Django, Angular and TypeScript, with AI features and agent workflows built on foundation models.

This senior IC role expects ownership of complex problems and delivering high-quality software from design to production. You’ll collaborate with Product and Design, mentor peers, and push for scalable, robust solutions across a modern tech stack while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent)
• Experience building modern web apps across backend and frontend
• Proficiency in Python and Django, or rapid productivity with another Python web framework
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Expertise with a modern frontend framework (Angular preferred)
• Experience with AI-enabled applications, foundation models a plus
• Experience designing RESTful APIs; Django REST Framework preferred
• Relational DB knowledge (PostgreSQL)
• Strong design, data structures and architectural pattern knowledge
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Degree in CS/SE or equivalent experience
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of significant features and initiatives
• Translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Make architectural and implementation decisions balancing quality and speed
• Build and maintain applications using Python/Django, Angular and TypeScript
• Collaborate with Product, Design and engineers on specs and delivery
• Ensure code quality, testing, deployment and operation
• Improve systems and modernise the codebase
• Provide code reviews and technical guidance
• Mentor junior engineers and raise engineering standards
• Explore new technologies including foundation models and agent workflows
