Job summary

Blueberry Markets Group in Sydney is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Operate squad. You will design, build, and maintain backend services, real-time trade processing, and internal business platforms, collaborating with Operations, Finance, Support, and Engineering.

You’ll own features from database design through APIs, background processing, frontend apps, and deployment, using C#/.NET, PostgreSQL, React, and modern cloud tech.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with C#/.NET.
• Strong PostgreSQL database design and performance optimization.
• Experience with React or modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience deploying cloud-based applications.
• Solid testing, debugging, and version-control practices.
• Excellent collaboration across technical and business teams.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Develop reliable background services handling high transaction volumes.
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for scalability.
• Build internal business apps and dashboards with React/TypeScript.
• Lead and mentor engineers; participate in code reviews.
• Improve observability, deployment practices, and resilience.
