Telstra is offering a 9-month fixed-term contract for a software engineer to design and build Java/Spring Boot microservices. You will develop secure, scalable cloud solutions, support the full development lifecycle, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple Australian locations.

You will leverage SQL/NoSQL, Linux, and CI/CD tools in a modern tech stack, with opportunities to coach teammates and contribute to documentation and delivery excellence.

What You\'ll Do

• Design and build Java and Spring Boot applications using microservice architecture.

About You

You\'ll bring:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, microservices and design patterns.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Linux and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Experience designing secure, scalable and fault-tolerant cloud solutions.
• Good communication skills, sound judgement and a strong sense of accountability for delivery.
• Degree-level qualifications in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related IT discipline.

Experience with AWS, Salesforce, Apex, authentication and authorisation, or API gateways such as APIGEE or Nginx will be highly regarded.
