Profusion PAC Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and enhance Core Banking and Payments platforms in Melbourne. You will work in a hybrid, permanent role, contributing to technical design, reliability, and scalable solutions while mentoring others and guiding architectural decisions.

The ideal candidate has strong Java, Spring Boot and microservices experience, coverage of GCP and NoSQL, API design for large-scale systems, and familiarity with event-driven architectures

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot and microservices.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing and delivering APIs for large-scale applications.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Security, reliability and operational excellence are essential.
• DevOps practices, incident management and continuous improvement.
• Mentoring, code reviews and knowledge sharing are encouraged.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools is highly regarded.
• Previous payments domain experience is highly regarded.
