Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software for computer-based systems in a hybrid role. You will work with modern Java frameworks, Kubernetes deployments, and microservices, collaborating with engineers to deliver robust software solutions.

You will lead and mentor teams, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and participate in an evolving tech stack including RESTful services and cloud-ready tools.

Qualifications

• Current U.S. Government Security Clearance is desired; U.S. Citizenship is required; Secret or TS clearance considered.
• 9 years experience in Software Engineering with Modern Java Frameworks (e.g. Spring, Guava); or 7 years with Masters; or 13 years with HS.
• Experience building and maintaining Kubernetes deployments using helm and flux.
• Experience in RESTful web services.
• Experience in Microservices architecture.
• Experience with the agile software lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team.
• Experience with Linux operating system.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Git, Nexus, Maven).
• Demonstrated experience serving as a tech lead, mentor, or manager for engineering teams.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office.
