Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia in Brisbane is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Software Engineer to support delivery and sustainment of the Wakulda Program, focusing on automated CI/CD, secure software systems, and defence-grade standards.

The role offers a hybrid work model, Australian citizenship required for security clearance, and sponsor/assistance for the vetting process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience in DevSecOps practices.
• Strong programming skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate processes for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
• Monitor and improve software development, testing, and security controls.
• Analyze and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Promote quality, safety, and compliance across the organization.
• Collaborate with teams to build secure software systems.
• Administration of Virtual Servers, Active Directory & System monitoring
• Fault finding and resolving ad-hoc problems to prevent system downtime
• Implement new technologies and frameworks in the DevSecOps environment.
• Proficient in Hyper-V and VMM virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
• Knowledgeable in DevSecOps practices.
• Familiar with engineering processes and standards.
• Skilled in writing Ansible Playbooks.
• Skilled in maintaining Jenkins and Pipelines
• Capable of designing automated software tests.
• Systems thinking to anticipate impacts of changes.
