Job summary

EOS is building our high energy laser weapon capability and seeks a software engineer to enable operator-facing control and integration with external sensors. You will contribute to health monitoring, data analysis, and test automation for trials.

Essential: degree in software fields, 3+ years with C++/Python, Qt experience, Linux, and CI; travel to test ranges and out-of-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

Degree in software engineering, computer science or related discipline.
3+ years producing production software in C++ and Python.
Experience building graphical operator applications (Qt).
Integrating systems over network protocols and debugging at wire level.
Linux development, version control and CI.
Willingness to work with hardware during integration and trials.
Clear communication with engineers and end users.
Willingness to travel to test ranges and trial sites.

Responsibilities

Develop operator-facing applications and interfaces for laser weapon system control, including situation displays and engagement workflows.
Implement integration with external systems such as radar and C2/battle management systems.
Develop system health monitoring, logging, telemetry and post-trial data analysis tooling.
Build test automation, simulation and stimulation harnesses for limited hardware access.
Contribute to interface control documents and verify interfaces with customers.
