Job summary

Talent Insights Group is looking for two Senior Software Engineers to join a Delivery Engineering team in Australia. You will diagnose and fix deployment failures across high-volume CI/CD pipelines, writing safe code and collaborating on pull requests.

The role spans AWS, Kubernetes and AI automation, focusing on structured documentation and AI-driven remediation to improve deployment reliability in production environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience across unfamiliar codebases.
• Hands-on CI/CD and deployment troubleshooting with tools like Spinnaker/ArgoCD/Harness/Jenkins.
• Strong AWS experience including provisioning, IAM, networking and Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Kubernetes and containerisation experience with images and deployments.
• Strong debugging using logs, metrics and monitoring (Datadog/Splunk).
• Experience with health checks and deployment verification (HTTP/gRPC, tests).
• Proficiency in Go/Python/Java/Kotlin/TypeScript with safe code changes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve deployment failures across CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement code-level fixes across repositories via targeted PRs.
• Troubleshoot AWS provisioning, IAM, networking and IaC issues.
• Debug health checks, smoke tests and integration tests.
• Apply a software engineering mindset to production live systems.
• Create AI-ready failure documentation with root causes and resolutions.
• Develop AI agent skills and evaluation cases for remediation.
• Improve runbooks and troubleshooting guides across teams.
