As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll design, build, and release features that directly impact our customers, using the latest in Java development while expanding your expertise into Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). You’ll work alongside project managers, architects, and technical leads to deliver high-quality solutions, all while growing your skills and shaping the future of digital at Optus.

Overview

The day to day

  • Develop, test, and release Pega Case Management capability using industry best practices and Optus standards.
  • Constantly update brand new out of the box capabilities being made available by the vendor to reduce custom implementations.
  • Innovate and contribute to Case Management (Pega) feature development & architecture.
  • Write high-quality, testable code that meets expectations for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Streamline delivery through code reviews, automation, and quality frameworks.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and uplifting capability.
  • Collaborate with agile teams and stakeholders to ensure features align with strategic guidelines and customer needs.
Why you are our next Senior Software Engineer
  • Strong skills in Pega Case Management capability development, with deep knowledge of modern practices and frameworks.
  • Expertise in Case Management as a domain (technology agnostic). Any experience migrating from one enterprise grade case management system to another would be an added advantage.
  • Experience writing testable code and working with unit testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with tools and processes that drive code quality (e.g., SonarQube, automation testing, code reviews).
  • An interest in learning Case Management domain and applying new technologies in real-world solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with confidence working in agile environments.
  • Exposure to multiple industry leading case management technologies outside of Pega (eg. Salesforce Case Management) is a plus.
